Diablo FC Summer Challenge, August 21-22, 2010

The team had a super fun time this weekend, winning two games and drawing one while winning their group. We played De Anza Force Black, Diablo FC 00 Blue, and Livermore Fusion SC Matrix, in that order. The weekend was highlighted by the girls amazing performance Sunday morning against Livermore, where the girls outshot the Matrix by a 4 or 5 to 1 ratio but couldn't punch in a winner despite dominating possession in their opponent's third.

2010 Santa Cruz Breakers Cup, July 31-August 1, 2010

Our first team tournament. What a daunting challenge. Even so, there were some absolutely awesome, never-say-die performances as our team gave it their best trying, hustling, and struggling against teams that had ALL played together last year. So proud of the girls who never gave up, never let down, and gave it their all throughout the three games. The highlight of the tournament happened Sunday in the early morning against host Santa Cruz. Our girls played an even game for 45+ minutes of regulation time, only to lose to two quick goals at the end of a supreme, beautiful effort. Enjoy.

First Day of Practice, June 1st, 2010

The journey for our girls began a hot June day before the 2010 school year had even ended. Core strengthening stretches, Ellie's broken wrist, bunching up, and lots of wild hair were what I remember about our girls the first day... Enjoy.
